Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Floating Teleprompter is designed so that there is almost nothing to have a privacy policy about. The short version: your script never leaves your device, and we don't have a server that could receive it.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Floating Teleprompter has no accounts, no login, and no backend database. We never receive, store, or transmit the text of your script.

Where your script lives

Your script and your settings (speed, font size, mirror mode, etc.) are saved using your browser's local storage — a private store on your own device. It exists only so the tool remembers your work between visits. You can clear it any time with the “Clear” button or by clearing your browser's site data. It is never sent anywhere.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics measurement to count page views and understand which features are used. It does not identify you and never has access to your script. If analytics is enabled it is loaded only on the production site.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by a content-delivery network. Like all web hosts, the CDN may process standard, non-identifying request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability. We do not combine this with anything else or use it to identify you.

Children's privacy

Floating Teleprompter is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal data, none is knowingly collected from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it.
